(Mid)Summer Grass and Flowers Wreaths Decoration
Let's make a simple Midsummer decoration that's almost free and completely compostable. If the grass has grown quickly and needs cutting anyway, why not turn it into a beautiful hanging wreath? These lightweight grass wreaths are meant to be hung up, where they dance in the wind. As the grass dries, the wreaths keep their natural beauty, making them a lovely long-lasting tree decoration that can be enjoyed for weeks after Midsummer.

Instructions
The grass has grown very quickly. If you have to get rid of it anyway, why not turn it into a decoration?
You'll need a ring as a base. You can make it from old or young, flexible twigs.
Now simply take small bundles of grass, wrap them once around the ring, then around themselves to hold them in place. Continue until the whole ring is covered.
These rings are meant to be hung up, so they dance in the wind. They look particularly lovely hanging from the branches of a tree. I've chosen this spot under the old apple tree.
Fresh grass stays looking green for a long time before drying naturally into a beautiful soft straw colour. Because it dries so well, this grass wreath makes a wonderful long-lasting tree decoration that continues to look beautiful for weeks.
If you want to use flowers instead of grass, make sure the flowers are fresh on the day you need the decorations.
If you use cotton or jute twine, you can compost the decoration entirely after use. It's completely natural, with no waste produced.
